End User License Agreement
This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you and the publisher of backsample ("Software").
1. License grant
Upon purchase and compliance with this Agreement, you receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software on up to three (3) Mac computers you own or control. You may release a machine and activate another at any time.
The license includes all future updates to the Software at no additional cost.
1a. Free trial
The Software may be used without a license for an evaluation period of 14 days from first launch, with full functionality. When the evaluation period ends, audio capture stops until a license is activated. Installing the Software again does not begin a new evaluation period.
1b. Purchases and refunds
Purchases are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd as the authorized reseller and merchant of record. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's terms. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy; a refunded order's license key is deactivated.
1c. License validation
The Software contacts our servers to activate a license and to re-check it periodically. If your device is offline, the Software continues to operate for an extended grace period and retries automatically. We may deactivate a license key obtained fraudulently, refunded, or subject to a chargeback. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what is transmitted.
2. Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Software except as permitted by law
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software except where prohibited by law
- Rent, lease, sublicense, or redistribute the Software without written permission
- Share, publish, or resell a license key, or circumvent the Software's licensing
- Remove proprietary notices from the Software

5. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
6. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE PUBLISHER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM USE OF THE SOFTWARE.
7. Termination
This license terminates if you breach this Agreement. Upon termination you must stop using and delete all copies of the Software.
8. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws applicable in the publisher's jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
