Refund Policy
If backsample isn't right for you, we'll refund it. Within 30 days of purchase, ask and you get your money back — no forms, no justification, no attempt to talk you out of it.
How to request one
Email [email protected] from the address you bought with, or with your order number. You don't need to explain why. Refunds are normally issued within a few business days, back to the original payment method.
Before you buy
backsample has a 14-day free trial that is the complete application — no watermarks, no export limits, no reduced buffer. We'd rather you find out during the trial than ask for a refund afterwards, so please use it.
Two things worth checking first, because they're the most common reasons a purchase doesn't work out:
- backsample requires macOS 14.2 or later on Apple Silicon (M1 or later). It does not run on Intel Macs.
- macOS requires System Audio Recording permission. If your Mac is managed by an employer or school, that permission may be blocked by policy.
After a refund
Refunding an order deactivates its license key. The app returns to its unlicensed state and system audio capture stops. You're welcome to buy again later; nothing is held against the address or the machine.
Who processes the payment
Purchases are handled by Paddle.com, our authorized reseller and merchant of record. Paddle appears on your bank or card statement and issues the refund. You may also contact Paddle directly through the link on your receipt, but emailing us is usually faster.
